These Are Powers/Lemonade Tour Re-Cap
Posted in MNDR tour on April 2nd, 2010 by MNDRThis tour was really amazing and what I like to call “family style” and formally named TEEN YOGA TOUR! Lemonade are old friends of mine from SF and These Are Powers are ancient bros from tour past. Lemonade and These Are Powers traded off headlining with MNDR as the opener. We played all ages shows for the most part along with one drunk show.
Lemonade really killed it every night with their distinct brand of Soca/Tropical dance music. These Are Powers obviously killed it ever night with their Timbaland inspired beats/Throbbing Gristle dissonance and absolute raw high energy live show. Certainly one of the best live bands touring.
Again, These Are Powers jumped in into their gang by letting me ride in their tour van. We plugged in our laptops, made beats through the car stereo, and saw a lot more of Alabama than expected. Solidarity forever! Best shows were at Jesus Camp in Baltimore (obviously) and 529 in Atlanta.
This is the only picture I can post to paint the picture of this tour.
