This tour is full of snowdrifts and snow bunnies.
Minneapolis show was at club Medu$a with DJs Solid Gold, Soviet Panda, Elite Gymnastics was absolutely next level. Medu$a is an amazing DIY space tucked away in a secret location at the West Bank with nothing but a bonfire to keep you all warm in the midst of a blizzard. 150 kids showed up to connect emotionally. It was one word..magnetic
The Cave at Carleton College in Northfield, MN is the hometown of Malt O Meal and academia. This was the first night of the Yacht/Bobby Birdman/MNDR tour. The show was so heated that we blew the amps and speakers. sweat (perspiration)
Saturday night at The Empty Bottle means eating at Bite, whiskey, and tons of absolutely amazing Chicago people. I love Chicago…I love your musicians….I love your clubs…I love what you got.

This month’s FADER Bowl is bringing the future-party noise of Restless People (featuring members of Tanlines and Professor Murder) and MNDR
Check out Brooklyn Bowl website.
I had the pleasure of playing the closing party at The Waterpod Project which is in the Queens Fair Marina. This is the future in mobile/sustainable structures. The Waterpod was built on a barge and was completely sustainable, including a composting toilet system, solar power, and a stationary bike that also supplies power. They had a garden geodesic dome and also dorms, kitchen, and different make-shift appliances. It reminded me of living in Oakland in the warehouse scene. The artist who brought this vision to reality is Mary Mattingly. She seems to be able to conceive of Utopia’s and actually bring it into fruition. Other people involved were Ian Daniel, John McGarvey and Mira Hunter.
I got to play in a geodesic dome. I can play my machines while riding a stationary bike for power. And that is a big Fuck you Con Edison and PG&E.
I will be receiving some live pics soon.

My art band 0th played on July 15th at The Lab in SF for Mission Creek Music Festival. This time JapJap was in Las Vegas so both JapJap and myself MNDR skyped in for the show. The Lab is a space for multi-media art and proved to be an excellent venue for 0th.
Unannounced to us, CNET had heard wind of our skype performances and were interested in doing a piece about 0th on CNET. So they interviewed Statue of Liberty and Gloat about the set up and the mission of the project. For this performance JapJap and myself choreographed movements for the visual aspects of the show, along with contributing live synth, samplers, and singing. Gloat played drums, MAX MSP, brought her robots, clarinet, and sang. Statue of Liberty played violin, sang, and also performance art. They smashed LEDS inside of glass and also contributed to movement. The audio always turns out better than expected thanks to our friend Wobbly. Here is the CNET permalink along with a screen shot of the produced piece on CNET.
We also uploaded the entire performance on youtube.

Dominique Young Unique (Tampa!) myspaced me over the weekend. We have some friends in common, mainly Willie Isz. I absolutely feel in love with her record Music Time (listen to it on her myspace). I have been playing it for everyone I meet and I can not get it out of my head. She is part of the Yo Majesty crew out of Tampa. She is only 17 and is making really great records. Look out for her she is about to blow it up.
